Impact Alabama’s fundamental staffing model relies on employing talented, intelligent, and socially conscious recent college graduates for one or two years following graduation. Our team members travel statewide to implement our signature initiatives, earning only a modest stipend for their tremendous service.

Kate Jarrett

Kate Jarrett, a native of Millbrook, Alabama, graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in May of 2011 with a degree in Finance and a concentration in Financial Management. While studying at UAB, Kate participated in the Global and Community Leadership honors program, as well as the School of Business honors program. She was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, a charter member in the Business Student Leaders, and a Resident Assistant for on-campus housing. Kate received the Roy S. Fogas Scholarship and the J. Stan Mackin Finance Scholarship. During her time on campus, Kate helped organize multiple philanthropy fundraisers to benefit Haiti Relief and juvenile diabetes research. Kate was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society, Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Society, and Who’s Who Among America’s Colleges and Universities. During her junior and senior years, she worked as an intern for the UA Health Services Foundation, Department of Surgery and Orthopaedic Division. Kate was also was chosen for an internship in Dublin, Ireland, during the summer of her junior year to work for a non-government organization that dealt with refugees and asylum-seekers. Following her time with Impact, Kate plans to attend graduate school.
