Impact Alabama’s fundamental staffing model relies on employing talented, intelligent, and socially conscious recent college graduates for one or two years following graduation. Our team members travel statewide to implement our signature initiatives, earning only a modest stipend for their tremendous service.

Lane Gilmore
Regional Coordinator
Lane Gilmore, a native of Birmingham, AL, graduated cum laude and with University Honors from the University of Alabama in May 2011, majoring in International Relations and minoring in Spanish. While attending the University of Alabama, Lane served as an ESL tutor for the Tuscaloosa County School system, a volunteer at Holt Elementary School for Capstone Mentors, and a volunteer for Impact Alabama’s SaveFirst Initiative. She has done social science research at Alabama, was actively involved in Alpha Delta Pi, and participated in a study abroad program in San José, Costa Rica. Following her time with Impact, she plans on attending graduate school.
