Impact Alabama’s fundamental staffing model relies on employing talented, intelligent, and socially conscious recent college graduates for one or two years following graduation. Our team members travel statewide to implement our signature initiatives, earning only a modest stipend for their tremendous service.

Laura Weathers
Regional Coordinator
Laura Weathers, a native of Sulphur Springs, TX, graduated cum laude from Texas Tech University in May 2007 with a degree in sociology. Upon completing her baccalaureate, Laura continued her education at Texas Tech University and graduated in May 2009 with a master’s degree in sociology. Laura has served as the president of the sociological honor society, Alpha Kappa Delta. Additionally, she has presented her research at sociological conferences across the country. Following her time with Impact, Laura plans to further pursue her passion for applied sociology and continue working in the non-profit sector.
