Impact Alabama’s fundamental staffing model relies on employing talented, intelligent, and socially conscious recent college graduates for one or two years following graduation. Our team members travel statewide to implement our signature initiatives, earning only a modest stipend for their tremendous service.

Sonda Sengupta
Regional Coordinator
Sonda Sengupta, originally from Prattville, graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a BS degree in Neuroscience and BA degree in Philosophy. While studying at UAB, she was a member of the Science and Technology Honors Program, serving on the program’s student committee for almost three years with one year as the co-chair of the executive committee. During her summers, she has assisted in many research programs for various institutions in the United States and abroad in topics ranging from meteoritics to ADHD studies. She has served as a teaching assistant in two UAB psychology classes and a lab facilitator at the McWane Science Center. Following her time at Impact, she plans to further her education.
