TaxWise is a great resource for you to learn to prepare returns correctly. When you log in to the website, your username is your last name + first initial in CAPS (e.g., Randall Smith would be SMITHR).

Free Online Tax Filing
Taxpayers who are unable to visit one of our tax sites and make less than $57,000 can file their taxes for free online at the following website:
Defined Benefit Pension Plans (not subject to Alabama tax)
**Note: This is not an exhaustive list. If the retirement plan in question is not listed here, call the Alabama Department of Revenue or the plan administrator (e.g., Fidelity or Morgan Keegan) to determine if the plan is a defined benefits plan.
